The SLOVAK FASHION COUNCIL, o.z. in collaboration with an informal group of volunteers calls on all people who are concerned about the refugees crisis to help out.

The aim of this call is to collect as many carriers for babies and small children as possible and in this way help families on their journey to safety. Mothers and fathers are carrying their children in their arms for thousands of kilometers and right now, carriers would be a great help.

The SLOVAK FASHION COUNCIL is an organisation that supports the interests of professional designers, creative people, skilled craftspeople, as well as large clothing and textile companies.

We are seeing a growing interest in helping parents in need and therefore we want to put our common Slovak strength into action – our skill, creativity and handcraft.

We are going to sew ergonomic baby carriers and also collect carriers from donors. Thanks to the carriers, children will be warm and safe, close to their mother or father. The parents’ hands will be freed up and the children will be able to sleep comfortably. Moreover, breastfeeding will become easier even in difficult conditions or whilst walking.

With the help of volunteers and some humanitarian organisations, the carriers will be delivered directly to where they are needed most on a regular basis.
